Sanctions and Disciplinary Action
Disciplinary action needs to be measured against the school's rules and codes of conduct. Pupils need to know the boundaries of acceptable behaviour and with this in mind I have always way relied upon the time honoured measures such as spanking and caning etc.
Bad behaviour should be dealt with quickly. Sanctions should be appropriate and as immediate as possible.
Staff may employ sanctions for unacceptable behaviour including the following:
• A reprimand/rebuke/disapproval of conduct;
• A good old fashioned spanking over Miss Smiths knee
• repeat of work/additional work;
• Classroom humiliation including shame clothing.
• A special corporal punishment detention
• Referral to THE APPROVED SCHOOL
Additional sanctions exist in the senior school.
Staff may give W on student record cards for unacceptable behaviour. The use of a W (warning) on student record cards accumulate into a detention on a Tuesday after school.
Lines and a spanking may be given for a single offence
In cases of persistent bad behaviour or of more serious misconduct the Headmistress will take the appropriate steps. If deemed appropriate she will give a caning or the belt. Other punishments are also available at her discretion
This Headmistress will take both Naughty boys*and girls* over her knee, girls who need to have that repeated may expect to have their knickers pulled down, boys may expect similar. The Headmistress will use her senior cane on those who show no sign of mending their ways. In the other hand she may introduce you to one of her other favourites from the classroom cupboard.
